Dental Office Protocol – Southlake, TX
Our Commitment to Safety
Pre Appointment: We will be asking questions in regards to signs and symptoms of possible COVID 19 over the phone. Depending on your response we may request that you reschedule your appointment.
Advanced Staff Training
Each member of our team has completed additional awareness and prevention programs to enhance their knowledge and preparedness.
Ozone Water Rinse
In addition to brushing and flossing before your visit, We will be asking our patient to do a Ozone water rinse or Hydrogen peroxide rinse before being seated so as to reduce the bacterial content that are introduced during the dental work.
Sequenced Patient Scheduling
Plain and simple, we are not seeing as many patients. We are allocating more time between visits for coming, going and cleaning.
Pre-Screening of Every Patient
A quick health questionnaire and consent form along with a no-touch temperature check will be completed when you arrive at our office.
Social Distancing in Place
Fewer chairs in our reception area, helpful signs and one-way traffic in our treatment area make 6’ spacing a practical reality.
Cleaning After Every Appointment
We are super clean as we thoroughly wipe, sanitize, and disinfect all instruments, equipment and surfaces in each operatory after every patient.
Deep Cleaning Every Evening
Along with cleaning and sanitizing during the day, we have take things to another level and use a fogger. The fogger creates fine particles of the disinfectant (food grade hydrogen peroxide) that become suspended in the air and also lands on surfaces that normal cleaning would not reach.
CDC-Approved Instrument Sterilization
This is standard procedure at all times, and nothing has changed. Anything that goes near your mouth is heat and pressure cleaned between every use.
N95 & ASTM Level 3 Masks
The beautiful smiles of our clinical team – dentists, hygienists, and assistants – will be protected behind double-masking at all times.
Front Desk Masks
Even our friendly administrative team will be wearing ASTM Level 3 masks as they stand behind plexi glass. Don’t worry. They are smiling behind those masks!
Face Shields
Two masks are not enough. Our clinical team will also protect you and themselves through the use of FDA Approved PET face shields.
Disposable, Protective Coats & Hats
When appropriate, our team will utilize another layer of protection to minimize the spread or absorption of airborne particles.
Advanced Chairside Suction
Whenever possible, we will be using a dry shield for all our procedures. This helps us control and reduce aerosols before they leave the patients mouth. Moreover we also use extra oral vacs that are situated between the patient and the provider. It is positioned near the patients mouth to remove remaining aerosols that may have escaped the dry shields suction.
Air Filtration
Our air has never been cleaner. We have gone above and beyond and invested in Surgically Clean air units , www.surgicallycleanair.com, that are strategically located throughout the office to purify and turn over the air throughout the day. This is on top of HEPA and UV uints that are located in the operatories.
No Magazines or Activities
This may make our reception area a little less exciting, but it makes it much safer as well.
Essential Oils
All of you know how we love our YL oils. We will be diffusing thieves and RC in our diffusers or alternating it with Raven so that we can all feel safe about the air we breathe.
Immune System Boosting
As we previously mentioned in our earlier post please help your immune system by taking Vit D3, Vit C, Calcium, Mg, Iodine and Zinc. If you can use colloidal silver sprays orally or nasally that will be helpful.
